From High Fashion Runways to Rock Videos - the magic never ends!
Oscar de la Renta 2012 RTW |
Snooky and Tish, looking so 80's - in the year 2012! |
It doesn't get any more classy and fabulous than an Oscar de la Renta runway show! These gorgeous models had their hair styled by the famous Orlando Pita, known for using Manic Panic on his celebrity clients. All of the girls with the colored hair are wearing Manic Panic Glam Strips or Orlando dyed hair extensions with our vegan formula semi-permanent hair color. We love when the to-dye-for hair matches the exquisite dress! Living fast, indeed.
In other news, Snooky and Tish starred in a rock video "Let's Get the Band Back Together" by Andy Shernoff (formerly of the Dictators). The sisters donned their 80's outfits and had a blast during the filming.(watch video above)

Q: How did you end up with pink hair?
CF: When I was two or three, my cousins had pink hair and I always wanted to have my own rainbow. I was never allowed, but eventually, I dyed it myself with Manic Panic. After the first time, I went brighter and brighter.
Charlotte was also asked why she chose to go pink and stay pink, it had nothing to do with fashion. “I was really unhappy, so I dyed my hair. And then I wasn’t sad anymore.”

May/June ROCK SHOWS
Tish and Snooky rocked the Hudson Valley with the legendary BLUE COUPE - an all-star band starring Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dennis Dunaway from the original Alice Cooper Group and original Blue Oyster Cult members Al and Joe Bouchard.
Tish & Snooky's own band, punk rock pioneers The Sic F*cks, have been rocking out all over town! Dressed in their legendary twisted nun’s attire from the Church of Rock and Roll, the Sic F*cks performed at the HOWL festival in the East Village and at a special Max's Kansas City Reunion Tribute at Bowery Electric. With upcoming CBGB shows and performances in Canada, this could become quite a disturbing "habit". Stay tuned.
The Pets Alive Furr Ball

Snooky and her husband Andy attended in memory of Keebler, the wonderful dog that they adopted from Pets Alive. Also in attendance were Tish and her husband Peter and Cindy and Dennis Dunaway"Keebler" |
Snooky and International Sales Representative Alysson travelled all the way to Istanbul to attend the Beauty Eurasia Trade Show. As usual, the Manic Panic booth was the most colorful, and most attended. "The minarets, the call to prayers, and the coffee, we loved it all!" Global MANIC PANIC here we come!

Manic Panic makes headlines in the Sunday New York Times Magazine!!!
The feature spread "Easter Bonnets" appeared in the New York Times Style Section of their 2/19/12 Sunday full color glossy gorgeous magazine! Written by Sandra Ballentine, the article features full page photos of models with pastel hair color styled by celebrity stylist Orlando Pita. Sandra writes: "Sick of fluorescent tips, dips, tie-dye and highlights, we turned to
Orlando Pita and the color team from Orlo, his Manhattan salon, to take
the radical color trend to the next level. His mandate: soft, allover
pastels that would coordinate with the palest confections from the
spring collections. It had to be radical yet refined, cool but chic."
The hair color: Manic Panic, of course! To quote Orlando: "First, the girls’ hair had to be taken to its lightest hue, and then color (from Manic Panic) added and adjusted. Pita’s shade secret? “Manic Panic colors start out quite bright, so we tweaked them with different percentages of black and white,” he says. The girls were a bit skittish at first, but by the end they loved their new locks and were reluctant to go back to their old colors — Tine Furre kept her candy-floss pink tresses for a week, years in model time."
The hair is classy and beautiful! Can you guess what Manic Panic colors Orlando used? If you guessed Lie Locks™, Electric Banana®, Cotton™ Candy Pink + Virgin Snow™, and Bad Boy™ Blue - congratulations, you know your Manic Panic.
Here's a link to the full article on the New York Times blog.

For the show, she performed her new single ‘Part of Me’ rocking the house dressed in cyberpunk splendor, with crimped Manic Panic Hair.
Conan Obrien tweeted: Katy Perry at Grammys with blue hair. The hair was so striking, Katy had to keep yelling at everyone, “Hey—my breasts are down here."
